HENDERSON, Nevada – May 27, 2021 – Healthcare Scene, the friendliest media outlet in healthcare, today announced the winners of the 2021 Medigy HITMC Awards celebrating the best in marketing, PR and communications for healthcare and Health IT.
The Healthcare and IT Marketing Community (HITMC) which is managed by Healthcare Scene, gathered at a special online event yesterday to acknowledge the hard work, creativity and achievements of marketing, PR and communications professionals in healthcare. 53 Awards were handed out in several categories.
“Every year, the quality of the campaigns, ads, websites, videos, podcasts, teams and individuals that are nominated continues to go up,” said John Lynn, founder of Healthcare Scene and HITMC. “This year we were wowed once again by the creativity and effort put in by all the nominees and winners. 2020 was a tough year, but that didn’t slow down any of the winners – they persevered, stayed the course, and it paid off.”
2020 was a year like no other. Providers, agencies and health IT companies all had to pivot their marketing plans and operations because of the COVID-19 pandemic. These pivots had to be executed quickly and often required the coordination across multiple departments. For that reason, two new Awards were added that were specific to COVID: Best COVID Pivot and Best COVID Awareness Campaign.
“The diversity of the winners this year is just incredible,” said Colin Hung, CMO at Healthcare Scene and community manager for HITMC. “We had organizations that used Hip-Hop and K-Pop to get their messages out. We had individuals that used their voice and reach to bring attention to racial, gender and other social injustice. We even had one winner who incorporated penguins into their event. The creativity on display this year was off the charts.”
